Friday Youth Discussion

This is an interactive evening, held every two weeks.

Come along at 6pm for  soup and bread, followed by a topical discussion, starting around 7pm.  Bring your friends.

On Tuesday 9th November, Doctor John Walton, professor emeritus at St Andrews University, will be presenting another interesting lecture ‘Can a Scientist Believe in Miracles?’, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  All welcome

Aberdeen SDA Church are hosting a special needs day of fellowship.  Sharon Platt-MacDonald and Sophie Nicholls are the speakers for the morning and afternoon sessions.  Space is limited.  If you are interested in attending, contact Christine before the end of August on: cleiper@fsmail.net to book a place.

The afternoon will include colourful presentations from representatives of several countries including:
Wales, Argentina, Russia, Poland, Mexico, Philippines, Scotland

Each national group will serve a tasty treat from their country which will result in an extended “banquet” throughout the afternoon with music, national dress, short talks, pictures and fun!

Displays of Floral Art in the church Friday August 27 – Monday August 30th, daily 2pm – 6pm.  The venue is the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Gwydyr Road, Crieff PH7 4BS, and in addition, on Saturday 28th there will be a Celebration Service at 11:15am.

There will be stalls, 30 large displays, a Cafe with refreshments, and admission is free.  Donations are in aid of ‘The Samaritans’, this is a good afternoon out for all the family!

Walking like an Egyptian from Loch Earn to Loch Lubnaig via Stuc a’ Chroin.

With Mike, Scott, Arlene, Steves P and L and our special Egyptian guest, Llew.  Tiny, Moss and Stella were the hounds.  Weather was HOT (though not by Egyptian standards, we understand).

The young folks are putting on a gospel concert to fundraise for the Pathfinder trip to Finland.

The musicians are all people attending Crieff Church who are bringing their talents together for this concert.

Newbold College Choir

Newbold College Choir presents ‘Behold the Lamb’, and Easter musical by Don Kreuger.  All welcome.

Retiring Collection for Child India.

It’s been a while since we posted pics from a walk.  Mainly this is because we didn’t actually go out much – the weather hasn’t been too good on the days we set aside for a hill walk.

Anyway – the weather today was superb.  Cold and clear.  We set off for Glencoe without a clear idea of where we’d go.  We ended up atop Stob Na Doire, the middle peak of the Buachaille Etive Mòr ridge.
